Chief of the Department
A life of service starts
My name is Don. I grew up in a small town in Upstate NY. Growing up, I never thought about becoming a firefighter. Looking back I can’t even remember what made me sign up back in 1993. I have been a volunteer firefighter since January 1993. In 1998 I transferred to a larger city volunteer department until 2000.
Making a life changing move
In Late 2000 I moved to NJ to accept a position with an Architectural Firm. Getting used to the change from moving as well as building my career I did not immediately join a fire department here in NJ. That is until September of 2001.
Having been missing the fire service since moving to NJ. September the 11th 2001 was the force I needed to drive me to volunteer again. I have been at it ever since. I have served in many different positions during my time here in NJ. Trustee, Lieutenant, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, and now Chief of the department.

My Wife and I
It’s ALL about family
My wife Stephanie is also a member of the Fire Department. She also has served in several different positions. She started out as our Corresponding Secretary. She has served as our rental hall manager. She now serves the department as our Fire Police Captain and also our Vice President of the company.
